SHOW STATEMENT: 

​

TIt’s been 30 years since the senseless murder of Selena Quintanilla Perez, the iconic Tejuno singer. CHAC Gallery wants to honor her dynamic impact on our world and community by keeping her memory alive.  

 

This is an early Call For Entry so that CHAC Members and community artists can prepare their best work. All mediums are welcome. Custom lowrider bikes, offrendas, paintings, sculpture and Selena inspired jewelry.

DEADLINES & DATES: 

  • Online Submission: 2/19/24 at 6 pm

  • Drop off: Sunday, March 2nd from 10 am-12 pm

  • Pick up: Sunday, April 20th  10 am-12 noon

  • Fees: CHAC Members No Fee Non-Members 10 a piece 

  • Showing artists must pick-up and drop off on scheduled dates


LIMITATIONS: 

  • Eligibility: Open to All Artists and CHAC Artists 

  • Theme: Selena~ All mediums are welcome. Custom lowrider bikes, offrendas, paintings, sculpture and Selena inspired jewelry 

  •  Submission Limit: Artists may submit up to 2 pieces. Please note that depending on the number of entries received, we may only be able to accept 1 piece per person

  • Presentation: All submitted works must be ready for hanging (wired, etc. no sawtooth)

  • Art must be family-friendly 

  • All entries must be for sale

  • Hanging art size limit: 16”x 20” 

  • 3D art allowed (space is limited)

  • CHAC will take 30% of the commission 

  • Repeat art may not accepted


SHOW RULES: 
Liability and Responsibility, CHAC and its partners will take reasonable care in...

  1. Handling all entries but will not assume liability for loss or damage

  2. A signed waiver is required for all entries

  3. Showing artists must pick-up and drop off on scheduled dates

  4. Art submissions may be used by CHAC for promotion

Artwork Submission Process

Please ensure that you complete both steps.

STEP ONE:
Please click link in STEP TWO to make sure your image uploaded! If you don't have google if may not let you. If it did not upload, please USE STEP TWO TO UPLOAD YOUR IMAGES!

STEP TWO:

Please note, your images MUST be titled with your name and the title and dimensions of the artwork. (To rename JPEG files, right-click on the JPEG image on your computer, scroll down to ‘Rename’ and click, and then re-title your file with the correct naming convention).
