Join us on May 6th at 3058 W. 55th Ave, Denver for the opening of “Artista Femminista: A Women’s Road, A Women's Journey.” This is a Denver women’s art exhibition, an exhibition of artwork made using paint, or mixed media processes. The power of the women artists, their unique perspectives, voices and stories bring “Artista Femminista: A Women’s Road, A Women’s Journey” to life. Renowned poet Elena Guerrero Townsend will open the exhibit with her poetry. Refreshments will be served and dancing encouraged with Denver DJ Mo Medina.
“We recognize the importance of being patient with each other as a way of connecting the bridges of our similarities and differences through open visual dialogue. We unlock our full and rich creative ideas through the power of the creative thought and process. Looking at the world as an open book and not forgetting that we are one, in dance and prayer together. A women’s view of our country and our world, a women’s social identity is expressed in this exhibit. A selection of socially minded women artists whose work represent a state of being in, cultures, places, nationalities, ethnicities, stories through the artist voice.” Rebecca Rozales
Featured artist include; Angela Ramirez, Georgia Mucelli, Geraldine Lawson, Arlette Lucero, Janel Rosales, Tammy Bennett, Rebecca Salinas, Judy Miranda, Teresa Duran, Meggan De Anza, Helen Littlejohn, Carlotta Espinoza, Tony Vigil, SA Bennet and Rebecca Rozales. Art Container Del Sol
Our Familia welcomes you to “Art Contained Del Sol” a studio built out of two 40’ containers. A showroom and a workspace that opens its metal structures to Artists, CHAC Familia and our Community. It was a one and a half year project. Believing in the possibilities and staying the course. We want to thank our Higher Spirit and all the positive thoughts within the community.
