About The Event

Unapologetically Chicano will be a mixed media show defining who we are as a group, as families, and as individuals. This exhibit will pull from a wide variety of experiences to report what has happened to us socially and culturally.  Sculptures, paintings, photography, and other mixed media art, will reflect the evolution of us a people.

We are Unapologetically Chicano! Grandpa was a Mexicano and grandma was half Irish and Mexicana, another grandma was Italian and Puerto Rican, and we all have Native/Indigenous blood running through our veins. We are Mestizos and our arte reflects it. We are potters, painters, sculptors, photographers, and mixed media artists. We won’t be defined by borders or boundaries!
